Does anyone know what the current rates are for Lifetime Fitness? They seem to have the best options for the older kids who are still too young to use the gym. Thanks!

I think we pay $150 for 2 adults and 3 kids. If I recall correctly, the kids are/were $6/mo. each or something just as ridiculous for free childcare. I don't know if these are the current rates, but it's what we've been paying for a few years.

Yep....we pay the same basic rate for our tribe (a little more on top for the swim lessons) - my eldest is getting a little bored of the play center now (9 yr old) but they do alot of free activities for his age like rock climbing etc which is really good.

That's consistent with the prices we were quoted. It's just hard to find something decent for the 9 to 11 year olds who don't want to be stuck with the babies.

Anyone have the current lifetime rates? I'm being quoted $144/couple and $20/child as of today. I got a quote from them in Oct 2012 and was told $133/couple and $6/child. That's a significant price increase per child! Just want to make sure that these are consistent with other quotes.

Wow, they're finally realizing how cheap the cost for the kids was! I wonder if it is temporary for summer when the kids are out and their childcare gets really full?

The child rate depends on how old the child is. If s/he is under 12, I think it's still $6. If s/he is 12 to 18 then it's a "youth" membership and that's closer to $30. I know they had a $1 rate increase for an adult membership in the last year.

I called Lifetime and got a confirmation that the rates quoted to me back in Oct 2012 of $133/couple and $6/child (3 months - 11 years) has now been increased to $144/couple and $20/child (3 months - 11 years). Not sure if existing members got the rate increase or not. At this rate, Lifetime is not worth the money.

I just got a notice that kids were going from $6 to something like $8 or $9 but not $20. I still pay $79 (single) + kids.

btw - If anyone has Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance you can sign up for Golds for $25/month no commitment and no startup fees. They will tell you that doesn't apply to that golds gym but I know a half dozen or so people who have signed up no problem. Do it through BCBS not Golds.

    I just google this .. https://www.blue365deals.com/daily_deals/56509
It says 3 month commitment (that nothing) but the $25 sign up fee seems hit/miss. Maybe it depends on your insurance?

What time are these activities offered? Is there a schedule? I am a member and my nine yr old refuses to go into the child care center - would love to find something else for her to do while we are there.

They have something usually every evening. Ask the activities desk or the children's center desk because I don't think the schedule they have online is current with the summer schedule. My little one doesn't like being in the child center by herself and now that the big one has a "youth" membership, I'm going to try and get her in some of those activities also so she doesn't completely flip her pancake when I take her there.
