Went and looked at Dragon Yong-In today for possible afterschool care for my child, next school year. I am looking for any and all feedback...I found some previous posts from early last year...can we update or are feelings still the same?? Thank you in advance!

Phoenix TKD is excellent. We don't use their after school but I have heard several people who do discuss it and they all say great things about the programs and the kids there love the Masters.

Had our child in the regular classes, but we pulled in out after a while, as it seemed like they were more concerned about money, then teaching the kids. Friends had their kids in the after school program, and pulled them as well - kids begged to not go back.

My son has gone for the last two years and as of this passed year HATED it! I agree with previous poster as well, they are mostly concerned with the money. Also, Classrooms are too small for the amount of kids in them, snacks are highly unhealthy, camps are constantly cancelling preplanned activities, no outside time, etc...Only nice things are the costs are good (even though they get you at testing time), they assist with homework and they attempt to teach discipline and manners.

Today was his last day as its the end of the school year and were moving in a few weeks anyway....But, I wouldn't have made him go another year.

My son has been at Top Kick in the Southern Walk plaza for the past 4 years. He hasn't had any complaints whereas our only complaint is that he doesn't really get his homework done afterschool. They do TKD classes M-Th and games on Friday.

Our experiences with DYMA has been the opposite. My son has been going there for about 3 years now, has made quite a lot of friends, and likes Instructor Breithaupt and Master Oh (and previously, Master Ko). I agree that their snacks aren't the healthiest of choices, but how many TKD schools are going to serve carrots and celery (and how many kids will eat them)? He always has his homework done before I pick him up, which is nice.

This is his third year at their summer camp and he hasn't complained about anything there.

It's interesting to see such different experiences at the same school.
