Will there be a Dog Swim this year?

Does anyone know whether there will be a Dog Swim at the Broadlands this year? Thank you.

No - from what I was told Ashburn Village Animal hospital decided they didnt want to do it this year (change in mgmt) and the association staff reached out to try and find another sponsor but was unsuccessful.

 

how much does it cost to be a sponsor? I might be able to help- if it's too late this year then maybe next year!

I wonder if some of the new pet-related businesses in the area would consider sponsoring next year? I understand there are some lux dog day care centers, etc. that have recently hung out shingles in Ashburn/Sterling etc. and might be looking for a way to get their name out.

Other people might be willing to pony up as well for their dogs to swim, although not to the level of sponsoring. Still, depending how what amount is necessary (I imagine for the cleaning bill?) perhaps it could be done as a private or HOA venture.

 

I work for an amazing pet sitting and mobile grooming company (www.woofies.com) and with other local pet services companies that may want to get together to sponsor something like this!

 

We really look forward to this each year. If there is anything that we can do to make this happen? I think participants would pay a fee to participate. Please send me a private email if you need someone to head it up.

 

I called the Ashburn Village animal hospital. They have been organizing the annual dog pool party in Broadlands. They informed me that the dog pool party will be held in Ashburn Village. You need to sign up at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavillion. The party is this Saturday the 7th from 9am to noon. Broadlands residents are able to sign up & attend the pool party.
Check the pavilion website. You'll need rabies info, Loudoun county license, etc. to attend.
