We will be moving to broadlands around nov-dec and are looking for good daycare center for our 8 month old, she will be 11-12 months old at that time. Any of you have recommendations from personal experience? I heard Primrose and chesterbrook academy are good, but need to hear from any of your personal experiences. What about Winwood in hay road? Please help. Thank you.

Our girls were at the Winwood on Redeemer Terrace (across from Briar Woods) for years and we were very happy there. Our youngest is now at Open Arms for Kindergarten and we're very happy there as well (they have daycare from infant on up as well).

How about BeanTree learning? I heard good things about them.

Not sure if you still need a referral - we too just moved to the area and use Ashburn Village Kindercare based off another family's referral and we are very happy so far. I have a 2yr and 4yr old.

It all depends on what your child needs. We were at Winwood on Hay road for a few years and then at BeanTree for almost 8. Our oldest child needed the rotating environment at BeanTree and thrived there whereas he struggled in the typical preschool program. Once we were entrenched at BeanTree, we visited other centers and couldn't make the change for our other children though they would have done fine elsewhere. BeanTree is more expensive but you are paying for preschool & up teachers who have bachelors degrees and good benefits (incl. 401K).
