Specialty Cake Maker?

Looking for a specialty cake maker for a theme cake for child's party.

NOT Chantel's - had a very bad experience there and then they didn't have my cake ready when we were to pick it up the place was closed when we had in writing when to pick it up. Called every number we had and it was two days later till they even called to apologize. Anyway, ended up getting a last minute cake from Wegmans. I love their stuff but they dont have the theme I'm looking for.

I recently used Amphora Bakery. I believe it's Chantilly, but I can't be 100% positive. They made a specialized cake in the shape of a drum set for my daughters Bat Mitzvah based off of a picture we gave them. They did a fantastic job and the cake was amazingly delicious. This was a big cake, but they can do any size you need for the party. I thought they were really reasonably priced for what we asked them to do. They have a ton of books with sample cake themes also.

 

Ditto on Amphora. They have fabulous cakes. I have bought many that you can see on the web, and they also did two custom cakes for us. The bakery is in Herndon...not at the diner, but at a separate bakery location at the corner of Spring Street and Herndon Parkway.

 

Sweetz Bakery in Leesburg! They made an awesome cake for my husband's birthday and did a great job with the custom design. The cake not only looked great, but tasted great, too. We received many compliments (none of them deserved, since I didn't make it), but I guess the compliments were for my wise choice in going with Sweetz.
