Any advice on how to deal with a parent who let's his 3 very young girls run around the parking area in our townhouse square unattended? Other kids in the square play in the street, which is still not ideal, but there is a parent watching out for cars. I witnessed one of these unattended girls running out in front of a car, they all play in the empty parking spaces and run into the street without looking. This is not a through street but it is fairly busy, especially as people are coming home from work. I am worried that I, or someone else, will injure these girls which obviously would be devastating. I contacted the HOA and was told that they can't help and was advised to call the non emergency line for the Sheriff's department. I am non-confrontational and don't want to ruffle feathers with the neighbors..........any advice?

I have noticed a group of tweenage boys doing the same thing around Demott. I asked a group of them that were sitting in my front yard and on the sewer opening in front of my house to please not congregate there. One of them stated it was a public street and they could be there, and another called me several words that I was surprised to hear a kid say ( to the point that two others told him to stop). My response was that if they were unwilling to move I would call the sheriffs dept. They moved across the street all the while cussing up a storm. This is the same group in the summer that stand in the street and make cars stop for them because they think its funny. Its really frustrating. I posted in this thread because I also am not sure how to deal with the unsupervised kids and could use some advice. Thanks.
