If you lost your remote control quad copter, it was last seen coming from Stone Hollow, flew over the houses and straight up Broadwell Ct, across Highview Trail and kept going over the houses in the direction of Brambleton.

In case you are looking for it...I'd start on upper Ridgeway.

The drone may be taking pictures of houses currently for sale.

Thanks for the information. The quadcopter returned home. It was on a course and returned a few minutes later. I appreciate the information though. And actually I lost it today. It did not return this time. :(

If I found one of these flying cameras in my yard I think returning it would be a fairly low priority. Maybe so if in the front yard where it could have reasonably been flying over common/public property but not the side/back. To me this isn't exactly the same as an accidental ball over the fence or a lost kite.

Unfortunately, flying over just front yards is a bit difficult. It is a hobby and not an effort to thwart people's privacy. And I fly it at about 200-300 feet unless it is landing. In essence, it is the same as a ball or kite in your backyard. :)

Flying at 200-300 feet is a somewhat different impression. Honestly I was picturing devices flying at a much lower/visible level. I still don't really like the idea but flying outside my window verses way up is certainly different to some degree. While I still own property in Broadlands, I no longer live there so fortunately I am no risk to area drone owners, unless of course we moved back into the house there in the future. ;)
