Camp Hebron-- It's Mennonite and there is a Christian component. The prices are EXCELLENT. My daughters are returning this summer for the fifth summers. Each year they start planning which weeks they want to go around JANUARY!

We went to the Dulles Camp Expo this weekend. Lots of great information.
Has anyone every gone to Camp Horizons or Camp Friendship? They seemed very good but there is not much online in the form of reviews or complaints.

We picked up information on those two camps this weekend also along with many others. We're considering a 1-2 week sleepaway for our 11 year old (first time). Not sure who we're going with yet...

Did you have a son or daughter that attended?

My son went to Camp Friendship last summer- they had a deal on Certifikid so it wasn't ridiculous. He really liked it. It is the typical summer camp experience- lake, archery, arts and crafts... He met a lot of kids from other countries and his counselors were almost all from England.

I'd also recommend looking into the Chesapeake Bay Field Station camp. It's a marine biology camp at Wallops Island, VA just outside of Chincoteague. My son has gone the past two years and will be going again this summer. The kids get absolutely filthy and love every minute of it. And bonus weekend beach getaway to Chincoteague/Assateague for the parents!
