Dr. B at Caring Hands is, by far, the best vet I have ever been to. He genuinely loves his job, and the animals he takes care of. Bella has had 2 major surgeries in the last year, and he was a huge help getting her into VA Tech, and following up after each surgery. When my sweet Wally passed away, he sent me a card and was very supportive through the whole ordeal. We have a new little guy in our family, and he takes great care of him too. Cant say enough about him, or the staff at CH. Highly recommended.

Sadly I was not pleased with Stream Valley for the following reasons:
    1) their pricing and up selling for regular visits. 18 months ago we had our puppy "fixed". Stream Valley quoted an insane amount to " fix" a 9lb dog. Their quote was north of $825 and they did not take our pet insurance (yes we have dog insurance:pofl:).

2). The 2 check ups the Drs and Vet Techs consistently tried to up sell the vaccines (even though I had the vet papers from our breeder that showed he was up to date) and I wasn't fond of their "scare tactics"...Lyme disease, dental and heart worm etc.

I'm a big fan of Dr. Grasso at Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun, they have 2 office locations: Village & Brambleton. But if it's a pet emergency or speciality care hands down The LifeCentre - TLC (near the outlet mall in Leesburg) is incredible, it's truly as 24/7 facility that has a huge staff of specialty Vets, highly recommend.

+1 to Dr. B at Caring Hands that is who we use now and I agree with everything BellaRu said.

+1 to lilpea's comment about TLC in Leesburg. We had an older(20) cat a few years ago that was having a very tough time in the middle of the night. She didn't make it but I'll always be grateful for TLC. They were very caring and kind.

There have been many positive comments about Dr. B at Caring hands, and I cannot agree more. However, I do want to mention that we take our dogs to Caring Hands and generally base our appointment on schedule rather than doctor. As a result, we have seen 4 or 5 different vets at Caring Hands. Every single one of them has been fantastic! Their vet tech staff is a great group as well. We have been very pleased with everyone over there.

Just an FYI regarding Stream Valley, they now require a bath and nail trim for boarding more than six nights. I think it's ridiculous to require it (just another expense for them to add) when we can bathe our dog at home ourselves. But, SV is very convenient to us and we've been with them for a while. Just might consider somewhere else to board our dog next time :p

I'm sure it's strictly for hygienic reasons...

Not sure why the bathing requirement is for check out and not check in if it's necessary to maintain a healthy and clean boarding facility...

"We do REQUIRE all dogs boarding with us for 6 or more nights to have a bath before check out, this has been implemented to ensure your pet looks and smells good upon check out and to maintain a healthy and clean boarding facility. "

We use Old Towne when we need to board and that is part of the deal, not a requirement, just part of the deal. I wouldn't want my pup coming home stinky and dirty!!:shakehead:

We've just always bathed our dogs at home. If our dog smells, we have shampoo and a dremel tool to groom him. It's never been required before in any of the kennels we've used for boarding.
