    Has there been a rash of cars broken into recently? I'd be worried as a real estate agent if that were the welcome sign to the Broadlands.

    Crimereports.com doesn't show much in the way of 'theft from vehicle' activity south of the Greenway over the past 30 days.

    This seems a lot over the top and I'm NOT a big fan of it as a "WELCOME TO THE BROADLANDS" sign. If it said, "Welcome to Spring... Caution -- pedestrians, kids & bikes", I'd be all for it.

    I don't have an issue with the sign. If folks are carelessly leaving valuables in their unlocked vehicles then they need to be reminded that it invites crime. Although I not very clear if a sign will jar them out of their fog.
