Around the Arbors apartments, there are signs about Dog Park coming. Does anybody know more about this?

No new developments that I am aware of. I assume that this is meant to be for residents only. It might be a response to increased competition.

The one in Brambleton was closed near the end of July. I believe it was for residents of the community, but it's a moot issue now.

    Dog Park Removed

Loudoun County staff has informed the Developer the dog park must be removed by close of business July 25, 2014 or be subject to daily fines despite attempts to appeal this decision.

However….there is hope for the future….

At the Board of Supervisors July 16, 2014 Business Meeting, the Board of Supervisors did pass a Resolution of Intent to Amend the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance to permit dog parks in all PD-H zoning districts, including the PD-H4 district (the “Resolution”). This Resolution will permit dog parks in HOA owned common areas once approved by the Board of Supervisors. The HOA will need to look for an alternative location, please send suggested areas to hoa@brambleton.org.

I found out there is a dog park at One Loudoun, in between the housing and the shops area. Go behind Alamo and continue heading towards 7, and it is tucked in the trees on the left. I guess the One Loudoun park is approved by the BOS.

Closest dog park is at Olde Izaak Walton Park in Leesburg. http://www.leesburgva.gov/index.aspx?page=760
