Need Advice Looking for General Handyman

Hello all,

I'm now renting my home in Southern Walk and am not living in the area. I need to find someone that can perform general repair work in the event a tenant asks me to get something fixed.

Types of jobs I'd like for the person to be able to handle are:

• Minor drywall repair.
• Interior / exterior painting.
• Lawn reseeding.
• Minor plumbing issues.
• Minor electrical issues.
• etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thom is excellent & licensed. I use him for home inspection repairs for many of my real estate transactions. Warning - he does get busy and therefore may be hard to book for small 1-issue job.

 

I'm an Interior Designer, I always use David Barney, he does excellent work and is inexpensive (ridiculously so!) 540-522-6309 He will respond to your call quickly.

I second the recommendation for Mike Lawless. He did great work at my house, above and beyond what I expected.

 

This may be too late, but I really like Mike Rosario - P&M Contracting, 703-862-0415. He lives in Broadlands and is outstanding. I need to call him again soon myself.

 

Would NOT use Force Construction/Mike Lawless again ever-- Not professional by my standards.

I would love to say it in public but since everyone is so litigious these days, I've decided not to post it here online. I just won't ever hire him again as I'd rather go with someone else that is more professional. I'd call the county to see if he's really licensed to do business in the county as well have insurance etc....you are on the hook if he doesn't have insurance for anything that is wrong. Let's just say I won't ever use him again no matter how inexpensive he was. I'd rather pay someone a bit more to get better results and someone that is licensed/insured.
