Blend Coffee Bar is coming to Southern Walk Plaza in the remaining Glory Days space. They submitted for a liquor license for wine and beer on premise.

Nice! We have missed having a coffee spot we can walk to (post-Starbucks leaving that plaza/area years ago).

I thought there was a dentist and a safe deposit company in the old glory days space.

Glory Days was split in 3 parts. One is now an orthodontist, one is the vault, and the corner lot with the big patio will be Blend Coffee Bar. It will serve fresh roasted coffee and espresso drinks from a local roaster as well as regional wines and craft beers. T Projected opening is September 1st.

This is great news...at least that space didn't get completely wasted. (A safe deposit company? Really?!) Looking forward to checking it out.

Opening tomorrow morning. This is a Broadlands business, owned by Broadlands residents with Broadlands residents for employees.
This is a soft opening, so don't be too harsh if everything isn't perfect!

Sounds like a plan. I'll go a little easy on them, especially in public, because they are just starting, and neighbors.

Really? You should "go easy on them" because they are human. The fact that Cliff has to even say that says something about how people treat each other around here.

"Somewhat" humorous? More like "very" ;-)

Hope they do well and succeed!

Excellent coffee, ask for extra hot if you like it boiling like my husband. The breakfast sandwich is delicious, fresh eggs, not weird pre fab Starbucks and McDonald's gunk, flavorful sausage and served with a smile and spicy sauce. Highly recommend it. They also sell incredible French macarons made locally in brambleton, love their local biz support within their offerings!

Service is friendly and laid back, we aren't looking for a "hurry up and serve us" experience, we love the personal touches here. Very small town smiles from everyone, it was refreshing and lovely.

Gorgeous interior with character and style missing from most Ashburn bizzes. Enjoyed a lovely morning here, ran into and chatted with neighbors, it's exactly what a neighborhood coffee shop should be.

Just stopped in this morning. If you like *bucks, you will LOVE this place! Coffee is at least as good as the other place and the service is really, really friendly. They have wine ready to serve tonight and hope that their kegs show up, too!

Great place / atmosphere, I have only had the coffee so far and it is going to keep me coming back.

Wish the large coffee was larger ... only because I want more. Maybe they can get larger cups and make up a word for this size my recommendation:

    Btarsucks
    Tarbucksay
    Dolce Gabana
    Gigantor
    Big Gulp

I will have to disagree about the coffee. I do enjoy strong, flavorful coffee and order Americanos so that I can get the full flavor of the coffee. In this case, I found their coffee to be both weak and burnt at the same time. It was ok with lots of cream and sugar, but that is not how I prefer my coffee. I do enjoy Starbucks or Illy brand coffee, but am still looking for something to compare to Europe.

seemed like a great atmosphere, but not for me.

Event at Blend: November 6th - 6pm to 9pm --- FEED THE STREET

Friends of Blend Coffee bar owner, Magali Davenhal introduced us to Annette Brennan and Will Salzman. This team started Feed The Street about 2 years ago to get the community involved in directly helping those in need. Will Salzman is a young musician who came up with the idea of The Love Bin Project, which is based it on the concept of using recycling bins to collect donations to help others in need (pretty cool right!). We are so happy at Blend to have Will be our first musical performer and help this important project. Will is going to talk about the creation of Feed The Street from 6:15 -7 and play music 7-9. Blend will be donating 10% of sales during the event to this great cause. We would love for you to come out and learn about what Annette and Will have developed, enjoy some live music, and make a differencein people's lives! Bring extra coats, gloves, blankets, etc. to fill the Love Bins.
Looking for the following donations: Toiletries (travel size), Non-perishable food, Clothing (adult size), blankets, garbage bags, small travel bags. Thanks in advance for your generosity and enjoy a great evening!
