Starplex Loudoun is now a AMC theatre: https://www.amctheatres.com/starplex

It still remains my favorite local movie theater.
    • Closest
    • Easy parking
    • Power reclining lounge chairs with ample room between rows
    • Reserved seats
    • Clean
    • Value food prices without distracting "Ninja's"
    • IDX screen is one of largest in Loudoun
    • Best ticket prices. Family of four can see a first run movie on Tuesdays for the price of a Blu-Ray ($20).

I agree... seats are now great and ticket/food prices that don't break the bank. Hot Dog for $1.00.... great deal. Some of the food should be skipped but the popcorn is good, Nachos are typical but you can put your own Jalapeno.

Also agree with the above comments. Really great location. The seats are large and comfortable (and recline), and the ticket prices are the best around. Went to a 4:45 showing on Saturday and the cost was only $6.59 ! And at least the small soda is actually reasonably sized unlike the 32 oz "small" sodas you get at other theaters. Now if only that brewpub next door would open up...

Do all the seats recline there now? I thought it was only in certain theaters in the complex that had been updated. Anyone know?

Don't know for sure.... but the few times I went there recently, each theater had the new chairs so I think all of them have been updated.

This is going to be our new go-to theater from now on. We went for the first time last Saturday night and again on Tuesday. Both theaters we went to (one upstairs and one downstairs) had the reclining seats. Prices are the lowest around.

Gave this place a second chance after reviews here and news of fixing the seats. Yay for the reclining seats! But not sure if all their theaters are this way, but number 11 is oddly designed -- only the very last/top row (of like 7 total) is the viewer sitting above the bottom of the screen. We were in the next to last row and my neutral line of sight was just below the bottom of the screen. For laughs, and I did laugh, I tried out the very front row, oh my what an angle to view a movie -- unwatchable for sure. So beware of this when ordering tickets (reserving seats). all that being said, with ticket prices at almost half price ($6.50), I'd go back, but only if can get the right seats.

Yea saw that too... #11 is the one theater there that is bad. It looks like only old movies or movies that are not popular go there. The main IDX theater is great... all seats really decent but rows H and I are the best. the D-Box seats and overall audio experience are great.

This is a great theater to have right around the corner from us. Just wish they could show some limited engagements and foreign films rather than showing the same flick in two separate theaters.

Went there this morning and they couldn't figure out how to turn the lights out in the theatre until more than 10 minutes into the film.

Was there Saturday evening. Their large beer cups have shrunk considerably. However, the price has not changed. After tip, it was basically a $13 beer that I had to wait on because there was no bar tender behind the bar for five minutes after I asked the manager for help. I really wish they could figure things out over there. It's so close and convenient.

We bounce back and forth between Starplex and Alamo. Both very different but pretty good...and YES...on those reclining chairs. Personally, I rather enjoy the no texting, talking and phone etiquette required at Alamo. The vintage movies, the nostalgia. We're all Alamo when we feel like spending the money.
