Good point about bringing up "throttlement"....I too wonder if the throttling is happening because Im noticing that my internet slows down or is halted briefly....Not sure whats going on and I wonder if OpenBand is doing this intentionally as "payback" to all of us for suing them or if its a new thing since they now don't have to answer to SWHOA??? Im sure SWHOA is shrugging their shoulders saying "Don't talk to us because we no longer handle OpenBand issues; you'll have to take it up with them."

ALOEL, thanks for bringing that good point up!!!

It has been a while since I have seen anything posted about our cable/internet/phone options out here in SW. Has anybody heard of any developments in this area or is OpenBand and Direct TV the only options we have? Was hoping for Version or Comcast to become available for us.

I've been emailing our HOA to get information. This is the last communication from 01/2016

"Comcast's lawyers are doing further investigation of the easement issue before proceeding with wiring. I don't know how long that might take. The only thing the Board could consider doing would be commissioning a legal opinion on the matter and giving it to Comcast.

I also heard from the Loudoun County Cable Commission that Verizon has also recently expressed interest in wiring the neighborhood after months of appearing to ignore the matter."

    I hope this helps.
