We purchased home recently and it has Hardwood floor entire main level. Hardwood has no damage as such but many places are faded because of sunlight.

Can any of you recommend some company to recoat the hardwood floor (or refinish if recoat is not possible). We got estimate from one company for refinishing which was very high. (Almost $2650 for $1000 sq ft) . Hardwood is not in that much bad shape to spent that much money.

I heard most hardwood companies will tell you to refinish instead of just recoating which is much cheaper. So would like to see if you know any recommended general contractors who does hardwood .

    Thanks in advance.

JohnS - have you used Pelosi? I'm planning to schedule work with them and give them a deposit. Just want to know if you still recommend them and it's safe to give them a deposit? thank you.
