    Hi, Fellow Foodies--[IMG]

My family of 8 (DH, myself, and 6 kids under 8 YO--yes--6 kids![IMG]) went to the new Chuy's tonight at Cascades Overlook in Sterling, VA today. We were able to eat for FREE since I stopped by yesterday and received FREE meal/drink entree passes for our family.

Sometimes a new restaurant will have a "soft opening" when they are training their staff/team members. I happened to see the "In Training" banner yesterday when I was shopping at the Potomac Falls Target. I stopped by to see if they were planning on a "soft opening" before the Grand Opening to the public which is officially 04/26/16 (per the General Restaurant Manager tonight). The manager asked if we would like FREE guest passes for our family. Naturally I said "yes" and we got 8 passes.[IMG][IMG]

The FREE food included select menu full entrees, free beverages, chips, appetizers, etc. No desserts since they make their dessert items fresh daily and the desserts was not part of the "freebies". The alcoholic beverages were discounted--do not how much since DH and I do not drink.

The service and waitstaff were well-trained and professional. The GM checked on us; and we arrived at 4:30 p.m. since seating was 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It was well orchestrated and organized. Even great sweet tea![IMG][IMG]

Highly recommend this new restaurant. They are closed tomorrow until the Grand Opening which is 04/26/16.

Great food and we left the waitress a $50 tip since our 8 entrees, drinks, etc. totaled over $125 which would have been a normal check for our family. Boy, did we have leftovers![IMG] Our quads and twins loved the decor and food.[IMG]

    Happy Eating!![IMG]

I first ate at Chuy's in Houston... it was alright. I recently tried the one in Fairfax and had the same opinion, but it's still nice to have one close!

The one thing I miss that most Tex/Mex places have down south (Houston at least) is the yummy green salsa/sauce that has avocado in it... similar to this:

OM NOM... not sure why it's such a regional thing -- it's awesome.

As early as May 2007, she already had a "little brood of 6":

In May 2007, her kids attended 'private school':

In November 2007, one of her boys could already talk in perfect sentences:

In January 2008, she said "When we started our family years ago and after we relocated from GA--and had kids-":

In February 2008, her kids loved to eat Korean baked goods:

I personally stopped paying attention to her reviews a few years ago when I heard through the grapevine that she was a 'paid' blogger who 'advertises' for local restaurants and services. Don't have any proof, but making statements like she has "6 kids under 8" since 2007 multiple times sure leads credence that something isn't right, unless I'm missing something...

Don't be so harsh...I recall a time she delivered garden vegetables and strawberries to the Nature Center.
