Dunkin Donuts Shopping Center

Who is responsible for maintaining the Dunkin Donuts Shopping Center? It looks like it is deserted...grass (or should I say weeds) are extremely high. I know we have had an incredible amount of rain the last few weeks, but come on...the shopping center looks like it hasn't seen a mower since last season. Also, the building could use a face lift or at least a good powerwashing.

 

The wetlands behind the D&D is filled with trash as well....... Pretty sad!

 

The trash dumpster that is in between the pizza place and Dunkin Donuts is often overflowing and is most likely the source of the trash in the wetlands area. Does our HOA have any oversite when it comes to the commercial property within our community?

 

Commercial Property Association, managed by Van Metre, has oversight. I recently got them to have all the derelict vehicles towed.
Pond area is managed by the county. Have had a call in to them as well.

Yes. Thanks Cliff. I spoke to the Sherriff's department and they told me that the owner of the broken-down buses also owned the property and parking lot. and could not be towed.

 

Well, that's not quite true. Sheriff couldn't tow because it's private property. And the owner of the vehicles did not own property or a parking lot there.

 

Went to get a haircut at Royal Haircuts today, the hidden gem in Broadlands. Your complaining seemed to have done something.

 

I don't know why you are pissed off at broken down busses, but, O.K.

 

Would you want them broken down buses next to your home? I didn't think so. They are an eyesore.

 

I totally agree with CAP and VACliff, broken down busses are an eyesore and diminish the value of our neighborhood. These types of problems if left unaddressed tend to also lead to similar instances by others and we all head down the slippery slope to a less desirable place to live, socialize, and raise children.
