Street Closings for Asphalt Repairs

    ***UPDATED*** JUNE CALENDAR DATES COMING UP: Asphalt repair calendar. as of 6.8.16

    HUNTERS GREEN CLOSED 7:00 am Thursday 6/9 through Friday 6/10 at 5:00 pm. Please have your vehicles moved during this these times or until barricades are removed.

    SHADYWOOD TERRACE & FALLING ROCK TERRACE – 8TH – 9TH
    Please remove your vehicles by 7:00 am on Monday, June 6 until 6:00 pm that same day or until the barricades are removed. Asphalt work will then resume on, Wednesday, June 8. Please remove your vehicles by 7:00 am on June 8. Vehicles may return Thursday at 5:00 pm on June 9 or when the barricades are removed. Please note any vehicle left will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please note that both mail delivery and trash/recycling pick up will be affected by closings.

    Why wasn't Harvest Green Terrace given proper notice street resurfacing had changed dates? It is still listed on the calender as Monday and we did not receive notice otherwise, the trucks just showed up... Thanks

    The trucks actually started milling on Thursday and finished this Friday AM, once everyone figured it out and moved their cars. Everyone is still shaking their heads wondering if asphalt will be put down today (Friday) or Monday. The calendar says Monday but who can believe it now? Do we take a risk bringing our vehicles back for the weekend...

    Thank you for your feedback. Fairfax Paving has provided the following information:

    Yes we did mill the roadways yesterday since we were done early on Hunters Green Square. That operation didn’t effect traffic flow, access and/or parking. We finished milling this morning and the guys started the paving process and will finish today. The lot will be opened tomorrow afternoon. I am sorry for their ambitious nature, they thought that getting ahead was a good idea. Since we are messing the schedule up (to the good I believe) they are working on Sundial Court & Bexley Way on Monday. The message boards are set up and notices will be posted by 4pm.
