On Friday, I recently received a letter of non-compliance with a bush that the HOA wants trimmed back but the problem is that I do not own the bush nor is it on my property. Its on my neighbor's property and I have no authority to touch his property's contents.

What do I do since the letter was sent to my property in error although its addressed to my name.

Let the HOA know. I am sure they will correct the error...

You can call the HOA and tell them it's not on your property. They're good about following up on things like that and taking it off your addresses record.
