We did Lennox Elite, 2.5tons 2 stage furnace around $7k give or take on the quotes. There would have been a discount if we did both systems but I wanted to see how it went with one. Adding tonnage did not greatly change.

We really like the Lennox, the house is so comfortable.

The other thing I did (after the install) was pay $200 to replace the ductwork with sound lined. We are in an VanMeter Aspen. The ducts have good sizing, but the two intakes are in the family room with maybe 10-16 ft ? to the furnace/blower in the basement. Cut the sound level (whoosh when running) ~3dB, as measured by my spl meter. Also took out a lot of the high frequency content.

Subjectively very nice! I wish we had done that when we bought the house, my understanding is this is done with some new houses now.

Yea lets just say that our experience with Sonny and Climatic was so much better. No BS sales tactics... honest proposal and much better prices. And because of the Carrier rebates we get $2500 off now. We have only worked with Climatic on maintenance before and they have been great to work with. Looking forward to having that AC blasting soon!

Cost me about 7 or 8 grand a piece after all the rebates from York. Couldn't be happier with them.

3 ton 17 seer AC units since York didn't make 2.5 ton anymore.

They were the top of the line highest efficiency furnace and AC for the basement unit. I couldn't do the highest efficiency furnace in the attic because Robert said the furnace was so efficient that condensation would be a problem in the exhaust due to the wasted heat being much lower than a regular furnace.

Thanks for the follow-up. We had our systems installed yesterday and are very happy with the Carrier Infinity systems....
