We're looking to get estimates for replacing our roof. Would appreciate comments from owners that recently did the same (past year or so?). Who did you use? Were you satisfied? How long did it take? Type of shingle used?Approximate cost?

    Thanks for any comments?

Just had mine done by Fletcher Construction. I am a middle until TH and it cost ~ $6k. Went with a mid-level shingle and there was not a lot of repair work that needed to be done other than replace the shingles. Experience was good, and they were fast and clean.

I'm in a TH, interior unit. My roof was replaced by an outfit called Modern Renovations from Winchester. The cost was mid-$6k range. They required 25% down (I don't know what is standard). From estimate to job complete was about 3 weeks. Even though not completely required, I did submit a modification request, simply to get the "okay" on the shingle color.
