Per the Verizon Construction Project Manager, crews still continue work virtually everywhere in Southern Walk. Phase One is seeing technicians activate service. Phase Two and Three timelines have been impacted due to splicing issues and connection with the Hub servicing the areas, weather, soil conditions (rocks), and spring break holiday. Stable weather is a major factor, and big storms can set the effort back by significant margins. Nonetheless, there is confidence that construction for Phase Two and Three will be complete within a week, and network testing complete soon after. The goal for Phase Four is to complete construction by the end of May. The Board of Directors is aware of tbe situation with OpenBand and termination of the OpenBand VIDEO only platform on June 1st, 2019. At this time, there is NO information to suggest OpenBand has plans to terminate either phone or broadband service, but OpenBand is alerting customers through their Customer Service broadcast messages of any planned future service changes.

The Southern Walk Board is also expecting information very soon about restoration efforts for landscaping in areas where construction is complete. Please DO NOT call the Community Manager to report your lawn is damaged, and please DO report hardscape damage through www.swhoab.com. Landscape damages and associated restoration will be dealt with soon.

I had had extensive damage to my lawn. I had the sprinkler service turned on 10 days ago and the technician left a long note. The sprinkler does not work in the zone where Verizon did their work. The heads are damaged too. ( And I am not even talking about the lawn). I reported the damage through swhoab.com the same day but no-one has contacted me ( or even acknowledged it).

What am I supposed to do ? Pay for the repairs myself ? Or hope that Verizon will contact me some day and fix it ? In the meantime I have had to turn the sprinkler service off.
It looks like swhoab.com website was put together by the HOA. Are they supposed to forward the reports to Verizon? Am I to contact Verizon myself?

I remember waking up one Saturday morning with unearthly sound from my front yard. It was the Verizon crew with their vehicles, equipment and crew. They did not so much as ring my doorbell before they started working. When I told them about the sprinkler system, they said they would fix it later. How can Verizon and the HOA leave me stranding now - after all the damage ?

Shortly after Van Metre foisted OpenBand on the SW community they foisted Sycamore Trees on us. Verizon is digging in a straight line and I've seen huge sections of roots in the dirt piles. When these cheap and dirty trees die after this trauma who pays for the removal and replacement? Also, anyway to ask the Verizon international workforce to pick up their McDonald's wrappers, cigarette butts and Coke bottles?

Just wondering what makes them "international"? Was it that they were not white or was it the fact that they were doing manual labor? Either way, it really is irrelevant to the littering so just makes you sound like a racist. In such a diverse neighborhood and County, just amazes me you feel comfortable slighting those that might not look like you. We are your neighbors, some born here and some legally immigrated here....some with better paying jobs than others.

If you post your address, my international family will come pick up the trash for you. I mean, thats what you want right?

    PDILLM-
I suspect this is neither the first time nor will it be the last time that you hurl baseless claims of racism around. I wish the moderator had suspended you for a longer period of time. Have fun being angry, I have a Cinco de Mayo party to prepare for.

    Warm regards,

    Shim

I've never been suspended, so not sure what you are talking about. Sure you got the right guy?

I'll let others decide if its baseless....oh, and not angry at all! Looking forward to the party neighbor!

Some yards look worse than others. On my street, which was done nearly three months ago, there are still some bare patches.

When will phase "Future" be ready for service? Openband is scheduled to pick up our video equipment in 3 weeks at the request of SWHOA. Please advise.

Asking for an update for phase 3 as well. i do not see a phase 4 on swhoab.com - has it merged with phase 3? If so do we have to wait for them to be done? Our phase 3 street has been done for a while now.
