    Hi All,

While taking the silver line bus this AM at the park and ride off of Moorefield, I saw a VDOT type flashing sign stating that Old Ryan Road will be closing -- and I am paraphrasing here -- on or about June 20 - June 29.

Couldn't tell if that meant it is closing for a week, or will be closing permanently sometime with-in that date range.

I did a quick search for more info -- VDOT site + that Google.com thing -- but couldn't find anything recent.

Is part of Old Ryan road closing for a week, or is this a permanent closure?

Before everyone goes all Johnny Storm and hits "Flame On" -- guess the superhero group -- I am not looking for the HOA to do anything, nor do I feel anyone is at fault, to include the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Transportation Commission or the Community Water Board ... also don't believe this is Trump or Obama's fault.

    Appreciate any data or insight!

    Scott

isn't there road realignment happening over there? I know the van metre development there at the corner is predicated on the idea there is a direct path down to the metro. Is that what's kicking off?

I didn't know about the realignment, but that makes sense. I guess they would keep Moorefield open so the fire trucks / ambo's can get out and allow folks to access the parking lot for the park and ride. We will know if a few weeks.

    Thanks,
    Scott
