Tennis Courts?!

I saw people using the courts near the stone house and Hillside park, but not sure if those particular ones are actually open. Are they HOA managed?

 

The tennis courts remain closed. We received reports of usage at Hillside Park and will resecure the courts accordingly.

 

Were there large groups gathering on the courts, not social distancing? I think someone is overreacting.

I, too, have seen people using the courts. People playing singles. Not all a cause for concern. It's hard to believe that anyone reported this, particularly when there are groups of up to 10 kids riding bikes together just outside of the courts. I also saw a group of about 6-8 adults congregating in folding chairs in the parking lot by the courts a week or two ago. Not to mention the high numbers of people passing on the paths, walking or jogging. The tennis courts should be the least of anyone's concern.

Dr. Birx said tennis is an acceptable sport to begin to playing again. Brambleton is opening their courts on Friday. Ashburn Farm is opening in another week or so. Farmwell Hunt never closed. Belmont CC never closed.

We are paying for this amenity. It was fine to close it for the very short term, but enough already.

 

I vote to open.
