Does anyone know if Moon Mist is the original ceiling color for the Van Metre townhouses in Southern Walk? I have a small area to touch up.

it is. I think most of the paint places and home depot have it in their databases at this point. McCormick Paints also has a shop in chantilly if you want it straight from the source but I would only buy from them what you need cause their cans rust really fast

Thank you so much! Do you also happen to know if the trim is Colonial White or any of the exterior colors?

Yes, the trim is that one. Semi gloss I think. Mccormick calls it state house exterior lustre.

Not sure about the exterior. Most of the painters around here can match but I've never touched up our exterior personally.

I just called the McCormick paint store in Leesburg and inquired about getting some Moon Mist paint for my ceiling as well. They told me the color has been discontinued and that they have to mix it now, which means it won't match if I am touching up. I was advised to repaint the ceiling corner to corner!

The trim work on those townhouses, and most of the van metre building around here, was "Designer White".

Use a piece of sandpaper and rub it on your ceiling to collect a good sample of the paint which you can take to Home Depot, or wherever, and have it matched. Works great!

Miller and Smith covered everything in moon mist and in our case, it was applied with no primer beforehand. When we got around to repainting the walls, it took multiple coats of paint to get good coverage.

ah, the colonial white I posted must be our trim paint. So many off whites they had.

And yes, VM also painted without primer. They came in and blasted everything with the paint gun. Every new wall we paint we have to prime or it will suck up so much paint it's crazy.
