Affordable lawn sprinklers will be doing my irrigation system this Friday April 16th, 2010.

From all the quotes I got they seemed like the best value as they had great BBB ratings as well as reviews on Angieslist + I read great reviews on these boards about them.

Not the cheapest quote I got, but still very reasonable and professional.

    Warning their homepage contains music:

Shyam & Roofer911 - Affordable is a GREAT company, they installed our system a few years ago and do the bi-annual maintenance. We have been very happy with them and we HIGHLY recommend them.

Since you are making the investment I would also recommend getting a fertilizer tank. Our landscaping and yard are proof positive of the results you can get. Off the top of my head I think Affordable charged us $450 for the tank.

If you are getting the Hunter Head In system (with the digital programming) it has a remote control feature and we love that too. Nothing says lazy than turning on our sprinkler system from the sofa.

    Villager,

The company has been very professional during this entire process.

You can definitely see where they placed all the polypipes due to the brown/dead grass, but that is expected with any company. They did state that due to it being Spring it should be temporary and it will turn green.

I have my final follow-up appt this Saturday where they will show me all the features.

Would definitely recommend Affordable lawn sprinklers to everyone due to their great service.

We used Affordable Sprinkler a few years ago and it ran about 3K. Our system includes: , back flow perventor & extra vent, 4 rain bird sprinkler zones, 4 drip line zones, digital/programable hunter head in, rain gage, remote control and a fertilizer tank.

Really depends on how many zones you have.

Expect to pay around $3500 for 7 zones and $3000 for six zones. Assuming you will not get any extras such as the fertilizer tank. Also if you go with affordable they have a $300 coupon if you mention Angie's list. Above prices are after the coupon.

UPDATE: Was informed by HOA that since there isn't any guidelines for in-ground sprinkler systems for homes, there isn't a need to submit an application but I did hear from a committee member that homeowners need to ensure that it does not cause drainage issues to their neighboring properties.

I am getting an irrigation system put in and am wondering if anyone had to submit an application to have a irrigation system put into the yard? (Its hidden from view so I am wondering if an application is even required since its not altering the house by any means or not visible).

Can anyone say because I've had a few residents of irrigation systems tell me that they have never done any application to have the irrigation system installed in ground of their home yard. Has anyone had trouble with the HOA with respect to the in-ground sprinkler system installation?

    Thanks!!!

    UPDATE #2 -

Ronco Irrigation Co. is the BOMB! They were recommended to me by a good neighbor of mine and am so glad I went with them as they are within our neck of woods.

    • They are awesome-- They have provided excellent customer services, listened to my concerns numerous times, answered my emails in a timely manner, came by to look at some issues and FIXED them without any complaints. They really have a great team and the owner's son (I think his name is David) really worked tirelessly to ensure that I was happy with the service/system. Their prices are VERY reasonable and upfront; and they even tested the backflow preventer to be sure that it met the standards of the county. (Note: I was told by my brother that the county requires this to be tested on a yearly basis.) Ronco will even maintain the system two times a year by turning it on for Spring and prepare/shut it down for the winter.

    • I highly recommend this company for your irrigation needs. I personally worked with Rob and he's the most friendly/customer service-oriented owner I've ever met. I feel good knowing that my system is in good hands with him and that I can go to him with any issues/problems that I may have in the future knowing that he will take care of it.

    • Lastly, but not the least--his prices are not the most expensive nor is it the cheapest. He's very reasonable and I had over 5 quotes---Some were OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive (ripoffs) and some were SO cheap because they were a mom/pop startup --so I eliminated three outliers- I was able to compare two solid companies and I decided to go with Ronco because I heard about his work ethic, customer service relations, quality of work, and so on.

So Ronco Irrigation is highly recommended by me...You will not be disappointed either. Best $$$ I ever spent and wished I went with them some years back....
