Dear Neighbors: I've noticed some homes that have either painted or replaced their James Hardie siding. Some look really good! I would be grateful for any SPECIFICS: who did the work [phone number?]; what paint was used [brand, type;] approx. cost if you don't mind. Our house was light gray in 2004. It's not now. If we go with the original color do we need to get permission? Many thanks in advance. And thanks for beautifying the community.

If you keep it the original color or VERY close, you do not need approval. Falls under maintenance of the home.

We used Five Star Painting approximately 3 years ago and they did a fantastic job! We repainted the same color but makes a huge difference with the fading that happened with the James Hardie used in original construction of home.
