Does anyone have experience with Timbertech Legacy or Azek Vintage on their decks? I always hear good things about Trex, but wondering about these other 2 options that look nice and seem to be better priced right now.

I believe Trex is more scratch-resistant, but wondering how Timbertech and/or Azek measure up in terms of scratch resistance. Stain resistance would be important to us as well.

    Thanks for any input.

I cannot offer anything on the two other alternatives, but the problem I have had with Trex is you cannot do anything to rehab it from wear or use. Cannot paint, stain, or do much to the surface except replace it with new. Food stains or other discoloration on a deck surface cannot be covered with anything.

Thank you for the input. I was hoping there would be no (or minimal) issues with discolorations with these composite/PVC type decks, but that might be unrealistic?

I have to say that we are concerned about choosing a color and then tiring of it eventually, or choosing a dark color and wishing we went lighter or vice versa. I guess that's true of most home remodeling selections though.

Like many other things today, prices are high due to the pandemic so decisions become more daunting. Thanks again.

There are two articles on decking alternatives in the June 2021 issue of Family Handyman that you may want to check out.
