Yup, still have this. Finally moved it to garage for easy pick up. STILL FREE!

Downsizing and need this large, modular German Schrank (Shrunk) to go to a new home. Purchased overseas many years ago from “German Quality Furniture.” Dark Oak. Free, but you pick up.

    11 separate pieces:
    • 3 full width base units: 1 w/2 doors, 1 w/open sliding shelf, 1 w/3 drawers
    • 1 half-width base, w/3 drawers
    • 3 full width display cabinets, 2 glass doors
    • 1 full width open bookcase w/shelf
    • 1 full width TV cabinet (21.25” deep, sits flush front on base unit)
    • 2 half-width cabinets w/wood doors
Stack 7 upper units on 4 base units in any configuration that fits your space. Bolts hold all pieces together on each level. Base units have leveling feet. Doors on left have hidden inside latch. Doors on right and single doors have keyed lock (all keys included). All upper units have one adjustable shelf (except TV cabinet). Made of solid wood and veneers. Tops of base units show wear (may be fixable with over stain and TLC). All doors lift off at hinges and shelves are removable for easy moving. Antique brass hinges, latches and keys.

    Dimensions:
    Base units: Full 37.25” wide x 23.5” tall x 19.75” deep; Half 19.5” wide x 23.5” tall x 19.75” deep
    Upper units: Full 37.25” wide x 29” tall x 16” deep; Half 19.5” wide x 29” tall x 16” deep

See photos. We don’t have all 11 pieces together in one spot, but they fit together however you want to stack them. Please send PM if interested. Will likely take a couple trips to move all 11 pieces.

Very good quality items- my parents bought same furniture (Shrunk) in Germany while stationed there. Expensive but worth it- why giving away free? Quality furniture should earn you a tidy amount!!

Agreed! Just finding it hard to sell - or even give away - furniture these days.
Course, it’s just hanging out in the basement right now.
Served us really well for many years. Pieces reconfigured to fit whatever place we lived in for 2-3 years at a time.

Mine sits in the basement too. May end up calling that haul away company. It'll take at least 3 people to move it.

Your German Shrank is beautiful What a treasure. You might check with some repainting/renouvation furniture shops? I am sure they would love to slather some paint on these olden gems... and do that distressing thing and actually sell them for a lot of $$$$$

Have you tried calling some of the local churches. Sometimes they have basements set up and may be able to use it. Just a thought so it does not go to the landfill.

We finally were able to get rid of our German Schrank by donating it to a local charity. They came and picked up and we got a receipt for taxes.

We also got rid of a lot of furniture by calling local churches. A few have ministries that help folks get back on their feet and often need furniture. The charities that took our Schrank didn't want anything like couches or chairs due to possible bed bugs.
