Dreaded iOS Upgrade for 2013 MacBook Pro

Dear Neighbors: We have, and love, our 2013 MacBook Pro. But, we are totally stuck at iOS 10.12.6 Sierra because ever time we try to update we get the dreaded "lacking firmware partition" message. This is much discussed in MacBook online fora. There are several "solutions" online but all involve a dozen or so steps and are beyond me. My question: can anyone recommend a shop or someone who can do this upgrade? I'd really appreciate recommendations to people you have had positive with. Many thanks in advance.

UPDATE -- PROBLEM VERY HAPPILY SOLVED !!!

I'm typing this on my totally updated, upgraded MacBook Pro and it's never worked better. I took it to Experimax in Leesburg. That's a franchise operation that fix specifically Apple products [including iPads and iPhones along with all Mac computers.] The owner, Allan, was an absolute prince. They charge 49.95 for a system upgrade. In my case I upgraded to a new. larger hard drive which also resolved my firmware issue. Allan was so focused on getting me back to work ASAP that he had me drop off my external drive and he did the restore before I picked it up. II can't say enough for the guy. Over 1.5 days six texts with updates on where they were! 'm now running Big Sur. Just bought and downloaded Microsoft Office for Mac 2019. My Clean My Mac says everything is 100%. I'd give them six out of five stars!
