To me this is a community issue so I wanted to share my recent experiences. Tennis classes at the Broadlands community courts are run by On the Line Tennis. There was an ownership change and I wanted to see if I am the only one frustrated? I have experience with the Program/classes from previous sessions so I was expecting a similar experience.

Not so. Communication has been spotty at best, confusing and most of my questions or concerns go unanswered or ignored. I get that its new management but this has been unacceptable. Yes, weather is always a complicating factor but so far, our class has only missed one session (that remains unscheduled). Anyone else having issues or am I alone in my frustration? We have had other issues but thought I would leave it there...

We didn’t sign up since the kids weren’t interested after we told them that Coach Don wouldn’t be back.

How are the new coaches? Are they fun or do they take themselves too seriously?

Similar experience. Don was the best! The change is very disappointing, has prompted me to reconsider signing up. I know Don is teaching at Hillside here and there but no group lessons. If anyone wants to start a group with him my daughter is 10, I would be interested in signing up. It's quite a shame that we have access to the center, but no decent option is there for my child.

I wasn't going to say much about the coaches, but my daughter does not like them or feel that they actually teach as much now. I myself watched one of the classes and was disappointed to see the coach look at and interact with his phone far more than is reasonable in my opinion. They are changing the way they organize the classes next session to align better with typical tennis "tiers" and reducing the class times from 1.5hours to 1 hour. The cost seems to be lower too but we will not be signing up again. I find it hard to believe they will all of a sudden be better organized or the coaches will be "better".

Any coach or business owner or manager that spends a lot of time on thr phone instead of focusing on business at hand will result in a hard pass by me. If I did that on my job, I would be fired. Paying someone to coach should be with their full attention on thr business at hand. My former company has fired people that aren’t focusing on business but spend significant personal time on phone. I have asked contractors to leave because they were paying more attention to thr phone than to thr job at hand!
