Himalayan Wild Yak

Last week for lunch I tried this new restaurant in Brambleton Town Center. It is just to the left of the movie theater in a space that I think used to be an Old Ox Brewery outpost. It was nicely remodeled.

Nepalese Cuisine which was new to me. Almost like an Indian / Chinese fusion. Had the Grilled Yak with a side of Duck Fried Rice. Both were tasty. Also had a very good dark beer called "68 Dark Thirty". Missed the fact that it was served in a cold 20 oz mug ! Yak meat reminded me of Bison. Will be tough unless it is marinated or boiled before grilling.

Probably will return to try some of the other items on menu. A bit expensive for lunch but a good pre/post movie night.
