Message from Supervisor Glass on Hyde Park...The Hyde Park residential rezoning application has been withdrawn by the developer and will not be voted on by the Board of Supervisors. The Hyde Park parcel was sold by the Hospital group on December 20, 2022, for $47,000,000. I again apologize for the persistent confusion and uncertainty with this application. I will continue to communicate the future of the Hyde Park area moving forward. Please know that the Broad Run office is always available to answer questions via my contact information at Loudoun.gov/BroadRun.

Did Westbrook Partners buy the land?

Yes…..just long enough to flip it to a data center company. And Westbrook was a partner with another development company.

That’s what they paid. Keep an eye out for the next transaction to see what the data center company paid!
I’m guessing closer to $100 million.

I will try to reach out to them to see if they will have a community meeting about their project.

Message from Supervisor Glass on Hyde Park...As I mentioned last week, the Hyde Park residential rezoning application was withdrawn by the applicant and will not be voted on by the Board of Supervisors. This means that the parcel will remain in its current office park zoning and does not have the possibility of being residential units. Additionally, the Hyde Park parcel has again been sold this month, this time to CyrusOne Data Centers who intend to build a data center campus. Once the Loudoun County Property Records are updated with that sale information, I will share it with the community. I have met with CyrusOne and they expressed a desire to work with me and the Broadlands Community HOA as they build out their data center and substation campus. At this point, they have not finalized their site or building design. Please know that I will continue to advocate for the Broadlands community with any development that occurs nearby. I am always available for questions via my contact information at information at Loudoun.gov/BroadRun.

I suspect it will be nearly completely clear cut.
The land has deep awaits in it and they will need to clear it, backfill and level it.

Here is a screenshot of the PDF. No wasted space. How tall are the floors on the 2-story buildings? Are these 20 foot floors, 40 foot buildings?

I hope the anti-Hyde Park people are happy - this is going to be quite the eyesore!

Maybe I'm not looking at the map correctly, but I'm not seeing the power station/distribution center that was mentioned as being needed. If I recall, it was going to be put in the north-west corner of the lot.
Also, anyone else find it ironic that there is a large 'screening' area along the Greedway and on the north-west side, but barely anything along Broadlands Blvd?

This is an earlier drawing than what was shown more recently with a power substation on it.
