I’m surprised they took your waterlogged bag as they still left my bag at thr curb- seems they don’t want to do their jobs! Lazy bums.

Maybe you should follow a truck around for a few days. I doubt you would then call them “lazy bums.”
They may make mistakes and they may sometimes miss things on streets, but that does not mean they are lazy bums.

It was in PLAIN sight for them to see and IMPOSSIBLE to miss to be picked up.

I don’t expect you to agree with me but over time, I am seeing incidences happening not only at my house but at others where I am now questioning if they are paying any attention to their quality control issues. I’ve spoken to their on-site supervisors only to get the brush off- seems they are not interested in improving their services.

If you are getting perfect services each and every time, good for you but I am giving up on calling their customer service Dept because they frankly aren’t improving one bit- and I feel they don’t care.

I have observed what they do to other residents which leaves me shaking my head. You can defend them all you want but you don’t live on my street so you aren’t there to observe as they work- so my thoughts about them isn’t going to change unless they start improving their service quality.

I know I’m not the only one that’s not thrilled with their services lately as you can see from the above posts. I’ve been living here since 2009 and up until two years ago, the quality trash services was great - now, it’s sliding downwards. Why?

FWIW, I never kept my grass maintenance company after 2-3 yrs because after that long they tend to become complacent and have service quality issues. After swapping them out with another company, my yard’s quality improves over time. I notice that companies when selected tend to have high quality control in the beginning because they want to be retained for the following year- it’s only after 2 or 3 years, the quality control issues starts to crop up because they are becoming complacent- That is MY experience and I don’t expect you to agree with my observations or how I feel.

I stood on the porch and met the trash guy but I think he would have taken the bag anyway because this is a recurring problem. He works alone using a side loader yet has to get out anyway because of the car parking situation here, so nothing out of his way. We are fortunate to have the same guy every week. Honestly never saw someone work so hard. I just hope Patriot appreciates him.

Did you call Patriot to let them know that this driver was doing a good job? If they give him a pay increase, they appreciate him- I was talking to some guy at a local business a few weeks ago- learned that the business still hadn’t given ANY pay increases in response to inflation even though the business was doing very well- I encouraged him to look for another opportunity that pays more- he said he was going to because many of his recurring costs such as food and other living costs are increasing- I hope he made the jump if the business didn’t value him enough to raise his pay-

Hope he remembered to talk to his supervisor about getting the waste bags picked up because it’s still sitting at the curb today! Sigh.

We never have a problem with Patriot on our street and the guys go out of there way with some neighbors as the neighbors stuff the garbage can between their cars on the street. These are the same people who have a two car garage and have never parked their car in it and two spots in the driveway but only put one in the driveway. Going to be 23 years in the neighborhood and since Patriot has been picking up the garbage never had a problem. Some neighbors still don't get the message if it's not in the trash container they won't pick it up with the loader.

Yard waste bags is NOT allowed to be placed inside of recycling or trash BINS. If you do that , they won’t pick it up. Trust me, I tried that tactic years ago and they didn’t even empty it. They told me I must put yard waste bags and place it next to curb which I have done so and there is NO car or anything blocking bags- in fact, it’s thr only bag on curb and there is no cars or anything using that curb.

You realize they are supposed to pick up yard waste bags on Mondays?? It was put out on last Sunday evening.
