    Hi,

We've started getting messages from "Broadlands South Alerts <alerts@neighborhoodalerts.com>".

I don't remember signing up for these and they seem like they could be a scam.

Does anyone know anything about these?

Neighborhood Alerts is a legitimate website but you have to sign up for it first to enter your location, etc.

I got this message when I did a search.

You are about to log in to the site “neighborhoodalerts.com” with the username “Broadlands%20South%20Alerts%20%3Calerts”, but the website does not require authentication. This may be an attempt to trick you.
Is “neighborhoodalerts.com” the site you want to visit?

My goal isn't to visit a site, I want to stop the alerts, whatever that takes. If there is a legitimate site where I can to this, great.

You asked if anyone knew about them. Maybe you signed up for something under the parent company Privacy@HomeSolutions.com. Try contacting them if you do not have the option to unsubscribe.

    Sorry I was vague.
I was trying to find out if the alerts were legitimate, in which case I would unsubscribe using the link in the message; or if it was a scam, in which case I would report it and block the sender.

Sometimes an email unsubscribe can be a spam opportunity itself. That's why Google recommends using the unsubscribe feature in Chrome to make sure you don't get hooked into another spam action unknowingly.
