Ballfields off of Belmont Ridge

    Does anyone know when the ballfields off of Belmont Ridge Rd. (right across from the intersection with Truro Parish) are set to open and what kinds of fields they will be? From Google Earth (the picture is a few years old) it looks like there are two large baseball fields and two small ones with on round smaller area just north of the parking lot. Does anyone also know why there has been such a long delay in opening these fields?

    The County Parks & Recreation dept is doing something else there ... not sure what. There are two baseball fields that I know were planned.

    THe fields were supposed to be turned over for use this past spring for the baseball season, but we were told they were not "set" properly. Don't know what the current status is, but with drought I doubt they will be ready before spring.
