Hello! We're new to the neighborhood and love it already. We have a 7 year old son and are interested in interviewing babysitters for our occasional evenings out. I was told there is some kind of list of sitters who have gone through a cetification class- can anyone lead me to it, or recommend a responsible sitter?

Many thanks- looking forward to meeting many of you.

    Ciao,

Welcome to Broadlands! My 14 year old daughter has completed the Safe Sitter course (and does animal care as well). My name is Maureen and you can reach me during the day at the Nature Center - 703-729-9714 or at home at 703-858-0724 in the evenings.

You will also find a list of sitters in the October newsletter. If you didn't receivce a copy pick one up at the Nature Center or access it online.

The online issue of the newsletter does not have the broadlands helper list. We remove it for the safety of the youth on the list. It is in every newsletter paper issue though. As Maureen said, if you didn't get one visit the Nature Center and pick one up. They are open 9-5 M-F.

In addition to babysitters the Helper list has pet sitters, lawn and snow removal and mothers helpers. Baby sitters and mothers helpers who have had training are marked with a code as to the type of training.
