Just an update on Whole Child Pediatrics. They seem to have all the patient load they want, and I think the business side of the practice has gone down. They no longer call to remind you of a child's appt, even though it takes months to get an appt. I find it hard to remember an appt that I've made two months ago, no matter how hard I try to keep on top of things.

Also, when I've had to reschedule, they gave me another appt in 3 months' time!!! When I informed them that I'll have to switch practices where appts are a bit easier to come by, they informed me that they'll need 3 weeks to ship my baby's records. Just an update for anyone looking. If you're able to get in, hope you have a better experience. I've stuck with them for a year, bec I love this one dr there, but what's the point if I can get my baby in to see her??

We've been taking our 2 kids to Whole Child Peds for a few months now. We absolutely love the doctors there, but I cant say the same about the administration of the office.

I have 3 kids, 5,3,1 and have been going to Virginia Pediatrics http://www.virginiapediatrics.com/. We love their docs ( Especially Dr. Puppo). My daughter has refulx/premature etc, and they have done a very excellent job. As soon as they realized she had reflux they refered us to Dr. Sirlin. We use Dr. Kohn as well for my wife and I, but really I would go with a pediatric dr. for my kids.

I take my kids to Whole Child Pediatrics and absolutely love the doctors and nurses there. There is quite a wait for a well child checkup, but to me it's more important that I'm able to take my sick kids in without an appointment M-F 8am-8:45. For the past six weeks, I've had to use this drop in service because of the various ailments my kids are suffering. As long as you're there by 8:45, you won't be turned away. I think they've been doing an amazing job considering one of the three doctors in the practice has been on extended leave due to illness. The front office staff my seem a bit surly at times, but I think this is because they are so busy. (Not that it's an excuse!) I use AOL Calendar which emails me a reminder of appointments. I have a hard enough time remembering what I did two hours ago, let alone two months! Hopefully things will get a little better once Dr. Pasternak returns (2x/week) in January. Good luck!

We used to go to a pediatrician in Leesburg and had many issues. We switched to Haynesworth and highly recommend her. I'm not sure why others have had issues but we find her very easy to talk to and has always gone out of her way to help our daughter. We have a two year old who has had chronic ear and sinus infections. She is always available (we've paged her several times plus we never wait long if we have to be put on hold to speak with her). She's gone out of her way several times by calling other specialists for us to get more information on topics and even did research on emergency childcare for us. She also always remembers our daughter's name (it's nice that she always remembers our daughter and previous issues without having to re-explain them).
