I need to replace some of the drawers and front panels of my kitchen cabinets. But I don't know the cabinet brand. I've checked all over and the drawers/cabinets don't have manufacturer labels.

On one drawer front panel, the white laminate is torn and peeling away. On the other drawer, the front panel has broken away from the drawer "box."

My house is a Pulte and was built about 8 years ago. In speaking with a Home Depot cabinet salesman, he said that most cabinets in Broadlands are Merillat brand.

In checking the Merillat Web site, I think I might have the Arbor Falls II line. Images can be seen at http://www.merillat.com/products/classic/ArborFallsII-Laminate-SQ.aspx

If anybody has experience with this, please post to this thread.

    Thanks!

:shakehead: I don't think so ... the Van Metre's are not Merillat. They are higher quality cabinets than these. You can tell a Merillat cabinet, it will have the logo either on a sticker on the side or bottom of the drawers, or woodburned into the underside of the drawer. If you do not see any logo, they're not Merillat.

I would check all the drawers to make sure. As far as refacing cabinets, if you're going to do one or two, you may as well do them all. Its a very cheap way to freshen up your kitchen.

So what does Van Metre use?

    I'm checking all manufacturers.

Van Metre used Merillat in my Fitzgerald model. I paid for upgraded cabinets that are pretty much crap.

Van Metre used a brand called "Quality Cabinets" in our SFH four years ago. (See www.qualitycabinets.com) Mid South Building Supply in Springfield, VA is the supplier and installer. Cabinet doors & frame are solid wood, while the rest of the box is a composite.

I had trouble with my white cabinets. Be careful if replacing and trying to match existing cabinets.

Color is not the only "match" when doing so. The glue used changes the color , ever so slightly.

Mine was built in '98, and these aren't Merillat. Does yours have the Merillat logo on them anywhere ??

FWIW ... upper grade Merillat's have full length drawer hardware, so you can pull the drawer all the way out and get to the back.

Also Merillat's use wood or wood composite corner braces on their casings, if you have plastic, they're probably that Quality Cabinet type.

Once agin, I'll state that there are no labels anywhere on the cabinets. I even pulled the stove out and crawled behind to look for some sort of labeling.

There are three possible manufacturers, maybe more, based on the sites I've visited:
    Quality Cabinets Geneva
    Armstrong Summit Hill
    Merillat Arbor Falls

I'm betting on Quality Cabinets at this point. BTW, Mid-South does not sell direct to consumers or retail, it's a wholesaler. Thanks though.

In case anybody else has to pursue this, you have to go to qualitydoors.com to buy Quality Cabinets product.

Thanks for you suggestions everybody. I'll post to this thread regardless of what I discover.
