We've put down ~1200sq/ft of wood floors and are now looking for some area rugs.... we're wondering what would be some good local retailers that have a lot of rugs on display to choose from....

I saw that Ayoub Carpet Service opened up near the new caddy dealership on rt50.. I'll try there, but also looking for other suggestions.

    Thanks!

Try Rug Home in Sterling. You can order online, or you can go to their store -- check out their site at www.rughome.com to get directions to their location. It is off of Church Road but kind of tricky if you don't know where you are going.

I purchased a rug from them for our entry and am very pleased with it. Their selection is great and their service is even better!

    Boomer,

You must check out Zarmani's in Sterling if you are interested in authentic quality persian/oriental rugs. I personally know the lovely Afghan family who operates the business and can attest to the quality and the fair prices.

Please bear with me as I try to get you the directions.... Take Waxpool road toward Wegmans and crossover 28 where Waxpool turns into Church. You'll take a left hand turn onto the road leading to the Sterling Costco (Dulles Parkway??). After you make the left turn, you go a very short distance where you will see an office park on the left side with dark brick buildings. Turn into this park and Zarmani's is in the very first building.

Please do not hesitate to use my name and ask for Timor. In addition to the vast selection of rugs they also have many handicrafts and other decorative items from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and elsewhere in the southeast asia region.

    Regards,
    Carol
