This is to inform all interested parties that a Stakeholder Summit will be held December 7 from 7-9 p.m. at the Board of Supervisors meeting room.

This is part of the process of updating the Countywide Transportation Plan. Last night's Planning Commission worksession featured a briefing on the progress of the consultant study commissioned for this effort. So far, the stakeholder input they have received has been from elected officials (BoS, towns). The summit is to hear from other "stakeholder groups", to include HOAs.

Over 250 invitations have been sent by the county, to include HOAs, but I post this here to urge each community to seek the fullest participation possible (particularly as the preliminary LOS maps we saw last night showed a lot more green roads than some commissioners seemed to feel were reality-based!).

Know also that direct input can be provided online at a new website:

    http://www.loudounctp.com

Here's your chance, as individuals and communities, to get on the record with your opinions, needs, rants, raves, and suggestions for solutions!

    Barbra,

The website looks like it might be nice, but it appears to be unpopulated with any real information. Are the maps / and or information available to see online?

Gator, we heard about it last night, and it was stated that it just went live last week. This is very much a work in progress, as the report we heard was estimated to be at 40% of the process toward the deliverable.

I'd be happy to ask that it all be online, as it is now public record (having been presented yesterday to both Trans/Land Use and the PC). The commission requested last night for copies to be made available to us of some of the things that were only shown as powerpoint slides at the meeting.

This is the ground floor of public input, apparently, so by all means get involved.

Gator et al: I spoke with County Admin this morning and they seek to have everything we were briefed on loaded to the new website this week. Hopefully, then the docs we saw will be available by clicking those tantalizing little icons.

The "Transportation Deficiency Analysis" was the section in which we saw the green roads.
