In our master bath shower, water is not very hot, its lilttle warm which is not sufficient. Whereas, we get hot water in the rest of the taps..(like tub/wash basin).

any idea how to fix this? Should I call plumber?

    TIA

Did this problem just start recently? Do you have a single control knob or one each for Hot and Cold? It might be the fixture itself that needs adjustment. I'll be interested to see what other Forum users (with actual plumbing experience!) have to say.

i'm not a plumber but.... try to pull the knob off and see if there is a plastic ring that stops the knob from turning any hotter (scald guard). you can pull it out and set it back in so the stop goes a little further towards hot.

Not started recently, I have been having this problem since winter as I realised only after winter.

It has a single knob for hot and cold. Even if I move the knob all the way to hot, its still only little warm.

Thanks to all for your replies.

More than likely its a Delta faucet, even if it isn't, you can head to the manufacturer's website and find information on how to adjust these types of showers. They have an 'antiscald' system built in, and as mentioned you may need to adjust the mixture.

I too had this problem not only in the shower but also the kitchen sink. As it turned out, there was a blockage in both. Small pieces of glue (from the original construction) prevented the proper water flow. I would try removing just the nozzle and cleaning the screen before trying to dis assemble the handle or mixing part of the faucet assembly. What I just described cleared my problem. In the case of the kitchen sink, we had to remove the whole nozzle assembly from the Flexible Stainless steel hose to clear that one.
