We go to Dr. Valerie Woo also. She was very friendly and very patient with my 4-year old. The staff did what they could to put her at ease. Nice waiting room, everything looked new and clean, but we were not kept waiting long at all, maybe less than 5 minutes. She took the time to explain what she was doing and what she was looking at. My daughter left the office with a bag of goodies (stickers, tattoo, floss, toothbrush, toothpaste, small plastic toy, etc.) I had my 1-year old with me at the time, and Dr. Val offered to take a quick look in her mouth, since she had a few teeth coming in. I thought that was nice, considering we didn't even have an appointment for her yet. I would definitely recommend Dr. Val. Her office is located off LCP, behind the Ashburn post office.

All 3 of my girls love Dr. Lynda Dean-Duru at Ashburn Children's Dentistry. The website is...

I've never been so at ease with any doctor! I highly recommend her!

We also have been going to Dr. Lynda Dean Duru for the past few years and have been very pleased so far. They are now located in the Pipeline Plaza by Potbelly and IHOP.

I didn't care for Dr. Lynda's office always pushing the nitrous on us.

Just tell her you don't want it. I told them I didn't want it for my daughter's sealants and that was the end of it. No pushing it on us at all.

It's been a while since people have given recommendations. Does anyone have any new/updated recommendations on pediatric dentists? Particularly those of you who may have problem children when it comes to dentist visits? I'm looking for an office that has the patience and time to try to put the child at ease, rather than pushing the use of physical force or drugs? Any suggestions anyone can provide are really appreciated.

Third vote for Dr. Patel. Our 3 boys are very comfortable there. Oldest son had a cavity at 3 (very small so no numbing needed) and then he had sealants put in. Son was very comfortable during both procedures.
