Pediatrician Recommendation

I have been taking my 2 1/2 year old to Chantilly but the commute is becoming difficult with a 11 week old baby in tow and so am hoping to get recommendations for a pediatricians in the area.

we've been happy with Dr Cohn from Broadlands Family Practice.... you can probably find some more doctors by searching the forums...

 

We are very happy with Whole Child Pediatrics. Four female drs in that practice. We have seen all of them except Dr. Pasternak herself and they are all great. Good luck. Here is their info:

We love ashburn Pediatrics right off Claiborne across from the Exxon/Carwash/Giant Shopping center. The last time we were in, we weren't too thrilled with the Dr. we were stuck with, but we've loved the other 3 or 4 we've dealt with, so now we know who NOT to request.

 

Ashburn Pediatrics has been good for us, and the location is great. I also like the fact that they have a totally different section for sick baby vs. well baby visit. Keeps the healthy babies from catching stuff.

I second WHole Child Pediatrics. They have very caring doctors who listen to you. My kids started there 12 years ago. I very much doubt in this area you will find a doctors office where you waon't wait a bit. Used to be not too much of an issue until the Ashburn area doubled (or is that quadrupled) in size.

 

We have been pleased with Ashburn Pediatrics. (Our daughters are 3 1/2 and 10 mos and we started their with our oldest.) The doctors are thorough and always take time to call me back if I call with questions, even if it's just a general question about eating or what have you. Like any large practice we have doctors that we prefer and doctors we would rather not see again, but overall we've been thrilled with their patience and thoroughness -- not to mention the walk-in sick hours!

 

Any recommendation on specific doctors within Ashburn Pediatrics for a newborn?

 

My 2 have been seeing Dr. Pierce and Dr. Crowley since they were newborns. They are our 2 favorites.

 

As with any big practice, you have some doctors you prefer over others, but I felt that all of the doctors were equally thorough with my baby during the newborn stage. We love Dr. Pierce and have friends who swear by Dr. Gold. They all have different bedside manners but as long as you feel that they are patient and encouraging with questions I think you'll do all right!

 

I love Dr. Pierce at Ashburn Pediatrics. She's awesome. I also really like Dr. Carroll. The only one I don't like is Amy Emery (I think she's a PA?)

 

I have vote for Ashburn Ped's. I have used them for 5 years - Dr. Pierce and Dr. Beloy are my favorites.

I love the fact that they have clinic every morning, fit you in anytime for sick appointments, call back when necessary, and have a nurse emergency line (for when I'm neurotic and not sure if an office visit is necessary).

I know that they always take newborns, but I'm not sure if you can request a doctor. They are all wonderful!

 

We also see Dr. Pierce at Ashburn Ped's. I am not fond of Dr. Gold, but a neighbor loves him. We've seen most of the doctors for sick visit and they are all pretty good.
