you can get a good massage at the new natural body (by the home depot) or at amenity. the most luxurious spa IMO is the one at lansdowne. best massage and pedicure i've ever had. it as recently renovated and is just stunning - very zen.

My wife loves the Amenity as well... she says it's much nicer than the one near Safeway

If you've got medical issues, the best massage I've had was at NOVA Medical Spa over by the Post Office...I literally went in unable to stand up straight and came out 90 minutes later after a deep tissue massage feeling terrific...
2nd best? on a Celebrity Cruise in the Carribbean...AHHHH :D

I was looking at Amenity's website and I noticed they do Threading. Has anyone had their eyebrows done? How long did it last? Would you recommend? Thanks!

I went to the Spa Minérale at Lansdowne recently, and while it was really nice, it’s not someplace I’d go to for a manicure, pedicure, or facial on a “regular” basis. I went with a group of female family members and we made an afternoon of it. The prices are more than at a day spa, but it’s considered a “destination” spa and while there you have full use of their pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and workout room.

The service selection, pricing and technicians at Amenity are awesome; the front desk managers are rude. For what it's worth, they seem to have one of the harshest cancellation policies in the area, so woe to the person who makes an appointment and then gets sick and has to cancel!

I go there fairly regularly and have always felt that the front desk staff were very polite and friendly. I think their cancellation policy is 48 hours, but I don't know if that is typical or not.

It is 48 hours on the weekends at Amenity, and if you cancel inside of that window they charge the full amount. Most local places have 24 hour regardless of the day and if they charge at all it is only a portion of the missed service. I did notice that Amenity Day Spa recently amended their site to state that the 48 hour notice applies to weekends; it helps that they are now spelling it out a little more.
