HVAC Maintenance

Curious to hear what people are doing for maintenance on their HVAC systems. We are looking at extending a maintenance contract with McCrea ... they have been fairly good to us over the last 5 years, but their price just skyrocketed (now $522/year for two zones). What problems have people had with their HVACs, who have you used for repairs, what maintenance agreements do you have, have you been happy with them, what have been the costs? Thanks for your information.

 

We use United Air temp. We have been using them for about 7 years now and have never had a problem. We started with them as just a maintenance, yearly upkeep. At that time it was 269.95 for both the furnace and the HVAC. Not sure what it would be to start a contract now. About 2 years ago we were having problems with the AC not cooling and they discovered a leak in inside of the unit on the coil. We had to have the whole system replaced and decided to add a 2 zone system at he same time. The HVAC is fully under warranty with them and they still come out each year to check and do a maintenance on the furnace. Price now is 169.95 for the furnace and 39.95 for the yearly HVAC warranty upkeep.
