Dude, Bonds just broke perhaps the most hallowed record in sports. I thought it was very well done--short speech, classy message from Hank Aaron, no commissioner on hand to even clap (what a dope). They stopped the game for much longer than that when Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig's record.

Any Premier League fans in Broadlands? I'm a huge Liverpool fan and I love the Celtics--despite the sectarian outbursts.

    Premiership starts TOMORROW!!!! Yeah!!!!!

I do watch the EPL when I can. I am a fan of West Ham United.

Wow a West Ham supporter... I bet you breathed a sigh of relief when your boys kept their points over the Tevez deal. Nice try Sheffield United!

What's your take on the three new teams brought up?

Confession - I jumped on the bandwagon a couple years ago, and I'm a big Chelsea fan. But it's worth watching any EPL games - gotta love Openband and the Fox Soccer Channel... =)

Sorry your boys did not start off too well falling to Man City. But MC may end up a much stronger side this season.

Man City looked good. WH United looked flat. They looked worse than DC during the Galaxy match on Thursday. Oh well.

Is it just me, or did van Persie almost miss the PK ?? Wow - nice comeback for Arsenal after Lehmann gave it away.

And mom2two - how about Gerrard's gorgeous free-kick!!?? That was another great ending.
