I am another long-time customer of Let's Dish and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I do not go as often as Zeratul, on average about once every other month.

I go to the Leesburg store and when I asked the staff directly I did receive an explanation close to Elizabeths. I'm not sure that I care for the pre-bagging... my initial reaction was that they were trying to control our portions. I have never taken more than my share but I did prefer choosing my own steak or chicken. I do think they could have sent out the information in their email newsletter that would have better informed customers in advance of the change and their reasons for it.

I agree that this last price increase has made me really consider whether it is worth it or not. I also see a lot of coupons that offer better savings for New Customers which doesn't set well with me. Reward your existing customers with the same savings or you may lose them. $10 or $15 off a $240 order really doesn't seem that impressive.

Agreed that you can probably do most dishes for less. To me it is about the convenience. I realize this is a business and they have to make a profit somehow.

I would like to hear opinions of those that have tried Entree Vous as the original post requested.

We think Entree Vous is a step up from Let's Dish - the quality of the food is better and the atmosphere is personal and less hectic. At entree Vous, we never have to wait for someone to fill up an empty ingredient - someone is always ready to help. I can not say the same about Let's Dish - where on busy nights you have to wait and wait for stations to open up and the ingredients are always running out. At Entree Vous, the employees ensure that stations are wiped clean. At Let's Dish - the customer is responsible for leaving the station "cleaned" for the next customer. And overall, the meals are more flavorful than Let's Dish. We tried Entree Vous when it first opened and have never gone back to Let's Dish.

I have been to Let’s Dish several times and Entrée Vous once. They are both set up in a similar way, though my first impression of Entrée Vous was that it was just a bit smaller in square footage. My husband was commenting that the meals I kept selecting at Let’s Dish were starting to get repetitive.

I had a 3-meal minimum coupon for Entrée Vous, so headed over there one Saturday morning. I was the only person there at that hour, so the guy at the store was able to give me extra attention. I got the Chicken Wellington (which was excellent), the Beef Burgundy (also good) and the Chicken Florentine (haven’t tried it yet). The cost was about ~$75. I like that I only needed to get 3 dishes. What I don’t like about Let’s Dish is the fact that you need to get a minimum of 8 dishes (maybe they’ve changed the policy recently). I just don’t want that many pre-made dishes in my freezer. Like someone else said earlier, nothing beats home cooking, but sometimes you need a little help. I plan on going back to Entrée Vous again when my freezer frees up a bit and try some of the other dishes. Then I will probably switch off back and forth between Let’s Dish and Entrée Vous, just to mix up the variety of meals. There really was no significant difference (aside from the minimum dish requirement) that would consistently cause me to select one over the other.

Speaking of variety, I think that Dream Dinners just opened up (located across from Clock Tower on Rt. 7 in Sterling). I will probably give that a try in a few more months. Also, has anyone tried Dinner Done in Centreville? It’s a hike, and I was wondering if it’s worth the drive as it seems like they have some really interesting items on the menu.

I would avoid Dinner Done in Centreville!! We were invited to a private party and decided to give it a try. We actually ended up throwing away a couple of the dishes because they were so bad. The quality of the meat was very poor. And the sauces were all pre-made and stored in separate containers that you needed to freeze as well, which took up a lot more space in my freezer. They all tasted pretty bad. My sister attended the same party and also threw away some of her Dinner Done meals. Another thing.. the staff didn't really speak English and it was difficult to get assistance while we were prepping our meals. The customers had to help each other figure it out.

I like both Lets Dish and Entree Vous equally. I think if you alternate between the two, you will have a good variety of meals.

THANK YOU for starting this thread- I am about to be laid up with ankle surgery and plan to hit both before I go under the knife so my husband can still feed my son healthy meals while I am zoned out on Vicodin... I'm looing forward to posting my opinions here!

Does Entree Vous have a freezer for Ready-Mades... where you can walk in and pick up as many dishes as you want pre-made? If so, how are they priced and what menu is currently in the freezer? Thanks.

    straight from the website FAQs-

    ----------------------------
Can I just pick my order up?

Of course. Just specify, on your order form, that you'd like us to assemble them. We'll ask whether you want your entrees frozen or just refrigerated when you arrive. Then tell us when you'd like to pick them up. There is a small service fee per entrée.

    -----------------------

I'm really excited to give it a try!

Hi - We offer pick up service for $2.50 extra per entree.

We also do something called fresh and take where you can stop in on a night that you need a quick dinner and have anything made up fresh for you. That way, you do not have to defrost it to cook it if you want to use it that night.

We also have some entrees made up and in the freezer. The kitchen is closed now, but I'll find out what's on hand in the morning and send you a pm.

Thanks, redon1. What I'm looking for is if they have the option to just walk in and pick something up out of the freezer without pre-ordering. At Let's Dish they are called Ready-Mades. They are usually a little more expensive but it's good if you just want to try a dish or two.

I think you will enjoy dishing and I it will make your life a lot easier when you are out of commission. Almost all the ones I've tried are really easy to cook.

Okay - but keep us in mind as it empties out :)

AND, we do not charge anything extra for the entrees that we have frozen on hand. We are actually thinking of doing a discount on them at the end of the month.
