Just wanted to send out a message of support to any of my former AOL colleagues out there. One of the main reasons I left last year was not wanting to be around when these happen anymore. They are just too damn depressing and were really eating into good people. Now I'm still depressed because I still know so many good folks out there. I already heard from someone I was surprised about. I'm sure at this point there's little left to cut, so many will be surprises. Just remember there's a lot of jobs out there and the package gives you time. And if you're still there after today, start looking if you haven't yet.

We always have openings at Time Warner Cable (although I'm never able to staff up my department). An AOL'er actually started today. It may be worth it to check out the website for openings as they may bridge service.

Do you work in the Ashburn office? I looked at the website to try to find a job for my daughter, who is currently looking. The job finding process on the site is very hard to read. The writing is HUGE, so it's hard to read what jobs are open. I don't know if it's my computer or the site itself.

Valuvr, I'm based out of the Consulting Group at our Fairview Park campus in Falls Church. Been there since January 1994 :)

I checked out the site and it looks fine to me, so maybe there was either some maintenance going on or there's something on your end? As a stop-gap measure, most browsers have a menu option to increase/decrease the size of the text/fonts on your screen. It's an actual menu option; don't change it in your preferences as that will make it stay that way each time you use your browser. Try that at least to get you through your issue for now.
